Chief Justice Saiduzzaman Siddiqui was a Pakistani jurist and legislator. Born in Lucknow on Dec 1, 1938, his family migrated to (then) East Pakistan. He acquired his early education from Dhaka, and then moved to Karachi, which was then the capital of Pakistan.
He was appointed a judge of the Sindh High Court in May 1980. He was further appointed as the Deputy Attorney General of Pakistan in 1985 and 1986. Ten years after being appointed judge of the Sindh High Court, he was appointed chief justice of the Sindh High Court and in May 1992 elevated as a judge of the Supreme Court.
